Giant Aussie HR Provider Hit By Security Breach

An Australian firm that is one of the largest human resources providers in the world was hit by a security breach that may have resulted in personal information for thousands of Australians being stolen. So reports PS News and ABC News.

The company, PageUp, noted in a statement that "on May 28, 2018, our investigations revealed that we have some indicators that client data may have been compromised." The personal data of employees from a number of companies that used PageUp for recruitment were exposed to risk.

The firm also said that a malware infection on one of its IT systems was responsible for the breach. PageUp offers HR, career and recruitment services worldwide. "The malware has been eradicated from our systems and we have confirmed that our anti-malware signatures can now detect the malware," PageUp said last month
