Pressure Increases to Lift Minimum Wage in Vietnam

Vietnamese employers and workers groups are battling on how much to boost the nationwide minimum wage. So report HRM Asia.

While the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour wants an 8.18% increase for monthly earning, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry instead wants a 2% increase. Just over 70% of businesses now pay their workers at least 6% over the official minimum wage, which last year ranged from US$122.27 to US$176.31
