The Minister of Labor Chatumongol Sonakul has asked the Office of Labour Abroad to key in on five areas. These include making sure citizens working abroad receive all the benefits as promised in their employment contracts; helping these workers boost their work knowledge and skills; develop technology skills and have a good quality of life.
The expectation is that these workers will come back to Thailand with their newly acquired skills and help to uplift the country’s labor talent pool. Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Israel are the top countries the government has targeted.
