That is according to a survey from the 2016 Aflac WorkForces Report, which also found that 72% of employees find deciphering health plans to be stressful.
“No one is spending enough time researching their benefits,” says Matthew Owenby, chief human resources officer with Aflac. He notes that employees assume there is no need to change from their prior year’s plan or that they end up missing out on selecting better options. “They leave a lot of money on the table.”
