Recruiting Firm Deploys Film Crew to Showcase Workplace

Kathryn Minshew cofounded The Muse, a recruiting site, in 2011 with the goal of helping companies attract millennials. But, her strategy is unorthodox. So reports Entrepreneur

The Muse’s technique involves taking a video crew to its corporate clients’ offices to document candid portrayals of what it would be like to work there. The video crew engages with executives about the company culture and their daily responsibilities.

“We wanted to make navigating your career more personal, visual and human,” Minshew says. The Muse has built a following of 50 million users, more than 30 contributors who write for its career advice blog and more than 75 coaches to help those starting out in their careers.
