The company’s vacation purchase plan works for employees who want to take at least five extra days and there is no limit on the days they can buy. An employee’s supervisor needs to approve a request before the employee can buy the vacation days via payroll deductions.
“We have peaks and valleys with our work, so it allows us to manage our business workflow…and gives employees the benefit of extra time off,” says Linda Speedy, chief human resources officer at KPMG Canada.
