Bankrupt American Apparel Draws Buyers

Amazon.com and teen clothing chain, Forever 21, are among the potential buyers for American Apparel. So reports Reuters, quoting sources familiar with the matter.

American Apparel recently notified its 3,500 southern California employees that they may end up losing their jobs, as reported.

Gildan Activewear, a Canadian clothing manufacturer, has put in an offer of $66 million to buy the clothing giant. As part of its offer, Gildan has considered keeping some of American Apparel’s manufacturing facilities open in southern California.
