Twitter Says Goodbye to HR, Diversity Heads

The chief human resources officer at Twitter has left the firm less than a year after arriving and its head of diversity and inclusion will be gone at the end of the month. So reports TechCrunch.

Chief HR Officer Renee Atwood “has left the company for personal reasons,” TechCrunch learned from a Twitter spokesperson. “We thank her for her contributions during her time at Twitter and wish her all the best in the future.”

Atwood came to Twitter in August 2016 from Uber, where she served as global head of people and places. Meanwhile, employees were notified by CEO Jack Dorsey that Jeffrey Siminoff, VP of diversity and inclusion, would be leaving soon, a source told TechCrunch.

Dorsey notified staff that it was Siminoff’s choice to leave. Siminoff came from Apple in December 2015. He served as director of worldwide inclusion and diversity at Apple. Atwood’s and Siminoff’s departures come as Twitter has seen a number of executives leave in the last year. Those departures included chief technology officer, Adam Messinger; VP of product, Josh McFarland; and COO Adam Bain.
