It may be tempting for self-starters to undervalue human resources duties, but they do so at great risk. So reports Entrepreneur

It is common for entrepreneurs to underestimate the complexity of traditional HR duties, such as recruiting, training and retention. Then there is staying on top of all the federal and state employment laws. 

While entrepreneurs may think they can micromanage HR functions, they are setting themselves up for potential headaches that can be a lot more expensive than hiring someone who knows what they are doing. 

“If you're one of those entrepreneurs, your belief that no one else can do the job as well as you may lead to a poisonous work environment, low morale and high stress, all of which will result in high employee turnover,” writes Entrepreneur contributing writer Brian Hughes, founder and CEO of Integrity Marketing & Consulting.
