50-50 Odds a Woman Will Head Up Bank of America: CEO

Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan bets that a women has a 50-50 chance of succeeding him, American Banker reports.

"Absolutely, there's a 50-50 chance," Moynihan said recently from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. "We've been after diversity and inclusion in our company for a long time. Our management team is basically half women, 40% or 45% of the people in our company are managed directly by a woman."

Five of the top 13 executives of Moynihan's leadership team are women, including global human resources executive Sheri Bronstein. Putting a women in charge of a Wall Street bank would represent a huge milestone for an industry where men still run the largest firms.
