The HR manager for a home healthcare company in Troy, Michigan, told police that on July 3 the worker, Sakyra Keyona Ellis, was turning in her equipment after quitting her job. After Ellis was told she would need to pay $500 to fix a broken computer tablet that she handed over, she put the HR manager in a chokehold and stabbed her with the pen, the HR worker told police.
Ellis fled, but was later arrested at a traffic stop. She was charged with assault and battery. The HR manager declined medical care, according to police.
