Woman Fired for Exposing Noose at Workplace is Back to Work

A Detroit woman is back to work after she said she was fired in February for snapping a photo of what she alleged was a noose meant to frighten black workers at an auto plant. So reports Detroit Metro Times.

Charlene Lust’s employer, Kentucky-based MacLellan Integrated Services, asked her to return to work at the Sterling Heights Assembly auto plant last month. Lust alleged that she was fired for taking a photo of the noose. Her firm prohibits employees from taking photos at the site.

“I’m just blessed that I’m able to get…something in return for the stuff that I went through,” Lust said. “I’m just honored and thankful that this happened.”

Bill Wilkins, MacLellan’s director of human resources and corporate development, said that the firm is “delighted" that there is a "positive outcome for Ms. Lust.”
