A Boston Consulting Group study finds that companies that embrace greater diversity in their leadership ranks generate 19% higher revenues. The two other principles are respecting differences and cultivating cross-fertilization. “When you get a team with a wide range of perspectives brainstorming together, it really opens people's minds to possibilities they hadn't thought of before,” Goddard writes. “This cultivates fresh thinking.”
