With new technologies, shifting demographics and a changing workforce composition, the future of human resources is fraught with uncertainty. So reports Forbes.

Social media and the growing number of millennials in the workforce, along with a complex mix of part-time and full-time employees, have altered the way companies approach HR, with many expecting traditional employment models to vanish soon.

HR managers should make HR modernization a long-term priority and master new skills such as “strategic vision, business immersion and expert consultancy,” according to the Forbes article. Using technology to free up time for more strategic functions and a focus on analytics will be also be helpful, the article reads.
