HR Manager Tops List of 2015 Jobs Sought

Anyone contemplating a career in HR management may have reason to feel optimistic in 2016. As year-end approaches, there will be no shortage of “Best and Worst of 2015” lists. Of the 10 most applied-for jobs in 2015 on the popular job-search website Indeed.com, only one professional occupation made the cut: Human Resource Manager. So reports Forbes.

Most sought-after positions this year, it seems, were administrative in nature, but the Indeed.com ranking excludes those. It’s hard to say whether the list bodes well for job-seekers in all 10 categories in the year to come, but the tally is nothing if not surprising.

All 10 occupations on the list received more than 500 applications. Next in line after HR Manager:

  • 2nd: Photographic Processing Machine Operator
  • 3rd:  Packers and Packagers, Hand.
  • 4th: Cashiers
  • 5th: Derrick Operators, Oil and Gas.
  • 6th: Ushers, Lobby Attendants and Ticket Takers
  • 7th: Material Moving Workers, All Other
  • 8th: Tank Car, Truck and Ship Loaders
  • 9th: Laborers and Freight, Stock, and Material Movers, Hand.
  • 10th: Flight Attendants.
