Big Data Helps HR Tackle Culture Dilemma

A startup is using big data to help HR tackle one of its toughest challenges: figuring out if a job candidate would be a good fit for the firm’s culture. So reports The Miami Herald.

Candidate.Guru is a big data tool that helps HR learn whether a prospect will mesh with the company, its employees and the boss. Its founder, Chris Daniels, a former recruiting executive, notes that simply relying on traditional HR metrics, such as skill set, education and experience, does not cut it.

“Our customers can submit job candidates to Candidate.Guru via LinkedIn, job boards and human resources systems,” Daniels says. “We will return them in rank order based on the strengths of the culture fit with a specific hiring manager.”
