‘Human’ Element Key to 'Workforce 100' Three-Peat Winners

American Express, Cisco Systems and AT&T were among 34 companies to make the Workforce 100 list three years in a row and the key denominator for all the firms was the attention paid to the “human” element. So reports Workforce.

“We put our people first,” said Francine Katsoudas, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Cisco Systems. “That means listening to what our employees have to say and taking action to improve their lives.”

Cisco started an Our People Deal program one-and-a-half years ago to encourage open dialogue and quickly saw positive results, Katsoudas said.

ATT&T implemented employee resource groups for its diverse worker population, and this has allowed “all our members to gather together to engage with our leaders in fireside chats.” said Cynt Marshall, AT&T’s senior vice president for human resources and chief diversity officer.
