Employees Mixed On Workplace Tech

Most employees view technology changes in their workplace as good, but some fear they could someday be replaced by machines. So reports Forbes.

A new study by ADP Research of 2,403 employees globally found that 90% think technology will foster better relationships by helping overcome distance and time challenges. But 45% expressed concern that machines may make them expendable for repetitive tasks.

The study also finds that the vast majority of respondents are not counting on their employers for job security and are using technology themselves to chart their own career trajectory and choices. “Today, with shifts in the workplace – especially increased automation – employees define security by the reach of their professional network and the ability to tap into relationships to find non-linear jobs that can extend a career,” the report notes.
