Dollar Tree to Hire 25,000 to Deal with Coronavirus Scare

The largest discount retailer in the U.S. looks to hire 25,000 full- and part-time workers for their stores and distribution centers amid the coronavirus crisis. So reports Yahoo Finance.

hiring 2575036 640smallHires will be made for Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores and distribution centers nationwide, says Betty Click, Chief Human Resources Officer. Cashiers and stockers will be hired at more than 15,000 stores, while order fillers, equipment operators and warehouse associates will be recruited for the chain’s 24 distribution centers.

"Whether you are home unexpectedly or are just starting your career, we have a broad range of positions to fit your needs and availability,” Click notes.

CEO Gary Philbin says that the company is “committed to serving our communities by providing customers with critical essentials, especially during times of uncertainty.”
