Ever since Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer made a splash in the workplace by no longer permitting her employees to work from home (while having the luxury of installing a nursery for her own child adjacent to her office), telecommuting and more flexible working conditions in general have come under greater scrutiny. Now a self-described organization of "Flexible Workplace Strategy Experts" has come out with a study on how telecommuting is perceived by employees. And it debunks a number of myths about the increasingly popular trend – one of which is that it's all about stay-at-home moms.
