Jorge Mejia started working at Amazon Logistics in late 2014 on a "flexible" schedule, but after three years was "officially coded to a fixed schedule," while his peer HR colleagues were not, according to his lawsuit. The schedule change meant a reduction in unpaid time off.
Mejia alleges that after complaining, he was eventually fired despite having no write-ups for bad performance. He alleges that senior human resources business partner, Kristina Dudley, and regional HR manager, Bria Sullivan, acted "in retaliation for him engaging in the protected activity of going to human resources about a legitimate, good faith concern about his benefits and discriminatory behavior against him."
