HR Pros Increasingly in Demand

The demand for HR managers is on the rise, experts say, and will continue to be as salaries and benefits consume more corporate expenses each year. So reports the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Interest in the field is up, and the Society of Human Resource Management student membership has nearly doubled over a 10-year period from 10,000 to more than 19,000. Sources say an understanding of the industry is necessary, and people skills alone will not suffice to be successful in HR. Marketing and business knowledge are also important attributes for the budding HR manager.
