Aussie Firms All in on AI to Grow Business

Australian companies are hot for artificial intelligence, with almost 90% targeting investments in this area to grow their operations. So reports the Human Resources Director.

Technology firm IFS surveyed 600 global executives from nations including Australia, Canada and the UK, about their plans to focus their AI investments for inventory planning and logistics, customer relationship management and industrial automation. In Australia, 54% of companies say they want to target inventory planning and logistics versus 39% of their global cohorts.

The goal for 57% of Australian companies is for AI to boost worker productivity, while 39% hope it creates value for their current products and services, and 29% plan to use AI to replace employees currently working for them. About 30% of Australian respondents expect new jobs to be created for workers pushed out by technology, while 11% say it may result in a 30-hour work week.
