Unilever Backs $1M Fund for Paternity Leave

Unilever United States’ Dove Men+Care brand has created a $1 million fund to back its new paternity leave push. So reports The Business Journals.

The Pledge for Paternity Leave program is collecting signatures from fathers and business owners that it hopes will encourage change. The $1 million fund will be disbursed as $5,000 grants through 2020, with the goal of helping men who are not able to get paid leave. Fewer than 20% of American men receive paternity leave from their workplace, while many don’t use the leave they are already afforded, according to Unilever.
