More Employees Demanding to Work From Home Post-COVID

Human resources departments will have to deal with a new retention challenge of keeping talented employees who say they will quit unless they are allowed to continue working from home. So reports HR Morning.

work from home 4987741 640Almost 30% of workers who now work remotely say they will ditch their jobs if they are told that they have to come back to the office, recent research from LiveCareer notes. And about 66% say they will want to be with employers that allow them the option to work remotely.

“People value remote work and will need strong encouragement from their employers to come back to brick-and-mortar offices,” says Susan Norton, senior director of human resources at LiveCareer. “Companies need to offer new benefits that will make their staff want to stay with their companies. Free coffee and fruits won’t be enough to retain top talent.”
