Time Off for Community Volunteering Can Benefit Employers

With many employees, especially younger ones, keen on working for bosses that are committed to social responsibility, companies would do well to push community volunteering as a benefit. So reports Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM).

volunteer gc208775bf 640SHRM’s annual employee benefits surveys of HR professionals finds that 47% of U.S. employers offered community volunteer programs this year versus 40% in 2014, according to the SHRM Research Institute. Pushing this type of benefit can be a cost-effective way for companies to win over their workers.
