San Bernardino’s human resources director criticized his city’s mayor for inviting a staff member to join him at after-hours events and meetings. So reports San Bernardino Sun.

metoo 2859980 640 smallThe criticism last year against Mayor John Valdivia comes as he contends with sexual harassment allegations. Just two months into his first term as mayor, Valdivia took a city worker to the State of the County regional business summit in February 2019. That now former employee, Mirna Cisneros, is one of two former employees who allege that Valdivia sexually harassed them.

Cisneros, 30, who used to work as a senior customer service representative, and Karen Cervantes, 24, Valdivia’s former assistant, quit January 29. Both accused Valdivia of sexual harassment and subjecting them to a hostile work place. Valdivia declined to comment for the article.
