HR Head Alleges COVID-19 Quarantine Led to Her Firing

A New Hampshire-based human resources manager sued her employer, a German manufacturer, alleging that she was fired after saying that two employees returning from Asia to the United States needed to be quarantined. So reports Manchester Ink Link.

covid 19 4951405 640smallDebra Di Nola alleges in her lawsuit that Freudenberg NOK Sealing Technologies, which has operations based in the U.S., fired her in June for “exaggerating the ‘China Virus.’” Her former employer claimed in its response to Di Nola’s suit that she has a history of exaggerating claims.

After Di Nola emailed Manchester Freudenberg Vice President Al Nadeau and others Jan. 29 with her recommendation that the two employees remain quarantined at home to avoid infecting other workers, the company reprimanded her, according to the lawsuit.
