Pandora to Boost Its Employees of Color to 45% By 2020

Online music service, Pandora, has said it plans to boost its employees of color to 45% by 2020. So reports Digital Music News.

“Pandora strives to mirror its community,” said Kristen Robinson, chief human resources officer. “We aim to reflect the evolving makeup of our local workforce by increasing the percentage of our U.S. employees of color from 35% to 45% by the year 2020, starting with our main hubs (Oakland, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles).”

Pandora defines employees of color as Asian American and Pacific Islanders, American Indian and Alaska Native, Black and African American, Hispanic and Latinos and Native Hawaiian, Robinson said. “The breakdown for representation within each race and ethnic group will be informed by each local community of which Pandora is a part.”
