Employers Turning to Alternative Options to Get the Job Done

While full-time employees are a mainstay for companies, employers are assessing alternative options to get work done. So reports Harvard Business Review.

The traditional 9-to-5 employee is just one of eight sources of labor that employers may tap today, according to Ravin Jesuthasan, managing director at Willis Towers Watson. Jesuthasan is also part of the World Economic Forum’s Steering Committee on Work and Employment.

“To succeed in this new world of work, leaders need to focus on two things,” he writes. “They need to have a better understanding of the eight different sources of labor, and they need to better align the interests of these sources of work to create a unifying culture.”
