Total unemployment claims over a one-month span (ended April 11) hit 22 million, with the real unemployment rate expected to have reached about 18% at that time. The effort involving ServiceNow, Lincoln Financial Group, Accenture and Verizon, aims to join companies that have laid off or furloughed employees with firms desperate for workers. Accenture created a platform in partnership with the firms’ four chief human resources officer to help employers find workers.
