Time Inc. Triumphs In Labor Fight

Time Inc. won in a labor dispute against the union representing 200 of its workers when an administrative judge found the group at fault for stretching out negotiations in order to hamper the company from implementing any changes. That's according to a press release from the company.

Greg Giangrande, executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Time, said that the changes it sought “are integral to the company’s transformation in today’s dynamic media climate.”

“The Guild’s strategy failed to take into account that the future of the 200 employees they represent is necessarily dependent on the success of the enterprise as a whole,” he noted.
