Empowering HR to Fight Domestic Violence

The Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) has taken action to help employees who may be victimized by domestic violence. So reports The Memphis Business Journal.

Scott Brockman, CEO and president of MSCAA, has given his human resource’s team the OK to allow staff additional time off work to deal with their domestic violence concerns. "We evaluate each on a case-by-case basis," said Julie Stewart, MSCAA human resources manager. "[HR is also] the focal point for information and resources.”

Brockman was swayed after hearing from the Memphis Area Women’s Council, which gave a domestic violence workshop to the MSCAA.
