Los Angeles County Touts HR Transformation

Los Angeles County is progressing well in year two of a five-year plan to digitally revamp its human resources processes. So reports Government Technology.

With Los Angeles county’s 108,000 workers in 35 departments, the HR department plays a huge role in recruiting and retaining talent. Among some changes are a new website with a digital job application portal that also is mobile-friendly.

The overall strategy involves “taking processes that were completely paper and turning them into digitally automated workflows, as well revamping websites and revamping service delivery systems,” says Murtaza Masood, CIO of the county’s department of human resources.
