Scottish HR Director Caught Up In Health Insurance Fraud

A former human resources director who advised businesses in Scotland is looking at jail time for allegedly illegally receiving US$12,482 in health insurance coverage. So reports The Herald.

Padraic Fred Best had rightfully received critical illness payments from Aviva Healthcare UK following a nervous breakdown. At the time Padraic served as director of people at the Scottish Institute for Business Leaders.

But Best continued collecting $1,248 monthly for nearly a year after he graduated from a university and opened an HR firm at home. Best, who pleaded guilty, said he “failed to pay proper attention” when filling out the form for payments.
