Indiana HR Head Canned for Fibbing On Resume

An Indiana community college fired its human resources director after learning she had lied about her experience in previous jobs. So reports The South Bend Tribune.

Jannifer Crittendon had faced complaints from employees at Ivy Tech Community College for failing to do her job before being fired in November. The South Bend Tribune, via a public records request, obtained a termination letter the school sent Crittendon.

Crittendon served as executive director of HR for Ivy Tech’s north-central and northwest regions from December 2014 to November 2016. She earned $107,100 annually.

Crittendon’s resume noted she had served as HR director at Notre Dame from 2005 to 2012 and as HR director at Northwestern University from 2012 to 2013. "They confirmed your dates of hire but the job titles provided did not match with the titles reflected on your resume," Chancellor Thomas Coley wrote in the letter. "Your resume was deceptive.”
