Culture Needs to Be HR Top Focus

The chief human resources officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is encouraging his counterparts to elevate culture as a top priority. So reports Forbes.

Steven Rice runs the HR department that serves about 1,500 global workers and is part of a foundation that invests $5.5 billion a year. Rice takes particular pride in the fact that the employee participation rate is 94.5% for completing surveys, something that employees do voluntarily. “If you can’t measure it, then it’s not worth doing,” Rice said.
