Uber Whistleblower Blasts Firm’s HR Head in Tweet

The former female engineer who blasted Uber for sexual harassment in a public blog, recently unleashed on the human resources director who is trying to repair the firm’s tarnished brand. So reports The Mercury News

Susan Fowler wrote in a public blog in February about how her manager had tried to proposition her for sex on her first official work day at Uber in November 2015.

Liane Hornsey joined the firm in December, a month after Fowler left Uber, and was charged with dealing with the hits coming from both inside and outside the company. But in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Hornsey gave a response that did not sit well with Fowler when Hornsey was asked if she had reached out to her. 

“I have said, very publicly, ‘Thank you’ to her because she raised some stuff that did lead to change,” Hornsey said to The Wall Street Journal. “I don’t know whether there would be any benefit in meeting her. I’m seriously working for my employees today; she’s an ex-employee.” Fowler hit back in a tweet, The Mercury News reports. “oooh burn” and “She really, really doesn’t like me.”
