Gender-Balanced Workforce Less Than a Decade Away for Accenture

By 2025, Accenture aims to have an equal number of men and women working at its firm, the management consulting giant announced.

Last year, women made up 40% of new hires, and women now make up 28% of its executive ranks, 25% of its global management committee and 30% of its external board of directors.  Among the steps Accenture has taken to reach its 50/50 gender goal by 2025 are entrusting its most senior women with more responsibilities:

  • Launching programs, such as Women in Technology, to help women learn valued skills
  • Being more transparent
  • Partnering across different businesses and government to encourage gender equality
