Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank is fully aware of his competition, but don’t expect him to acknowledge them by name in public. So reports The Baltimore Sun.

Plank prefers using “my competition” or something similar when speaking about Nike, Adidas and other competitors. And other Under Armour executives of the Baltimore-based firm have followed their leader’s example. 

“We are of course aware of our competition and respect them, however we’re focused on what we are doing to build our brand right here in Baltimore and around the world; we honestly just don’t feel the need to name them too often,” Kerry Chandler, Under Armour’s chief human resources officer, told The Baltimore Sun.
