Carl Dixson, the former employee of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, alleged in his federal whistleblower suit that he was fired for reporting that he thought the commissioner and the board’s executive director ran afoul of the Gaming Act.
Dixson had served as director of the board’s gaming laboratory when he was fired in April 2016 and denied his health and other benefits, according to his lawsuit. Dixson alleged the firing was discriminatory since he missed work due to illness from Lyme disease and other health problems.
Dixson also alleged that the board’s human resources director went after him as part of an investigation and tried to portray him as a “ghost employee” after he complained to the Pennsylvania attorney general and auditor general.
