Uber Hires New HR Director to Replace Tainted Predecessor

Uber has replaced its human resources director, who the company had recruited last year to help it deal with widespread fallout from sexual and gender discrimination allegations. So reports CNN.

Nikki Krishnamurthy worked as chief people officer for Expedia before joining Uber early in October, replacing Liane Hornsey, who left in July. Hornsey resigned amid reports of an internal investigation into whether she disregarded racial discrimination allegations at the company.

While at Expedia, Krishnamurthy worked with Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, who had worked 10 years at Expedia before coming to Uber August last year. Khosrowshahi replaced Uber co-founder and CEO Travis Kalanick, who resigned in June of last year.

Krishnamurthy is a "trusted partner," who will help "evolve our culture," Khosrowshahi said in a statement.
