HR Director Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud

A West Virginia human resources director pleaded guilty to wire fraud over allegations that she tampered with the payroll system to move money meant for city employees, So reports WTRF.

Teresa Hudrlik, who used to head up the city of Wheeling's HR department from 2016 until this year, agreed to pay the city $80,000 in restitution. She had faced up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Hudrlik also gave herself a raise without getting the OK of her supervisors and allegedly signed off on city money to be paid to one of her children.
