The six-figure salary pitch is part of a strategy for Taco Bell to better compete for talent in a tight labor market. The chain is testing the $100,000 salary for managers in the Midwest and Northeast. General managers currently make between $50,000 to $80,000.
Taco Bell also is offering employees not interested in being managers the chance to take on new leadership roles. Nationwide, as of January 1, it also made all workers eligible to receive a minimum of 24 hours of paid sick time annually, the firm notes.
