McDonald’s Nabs Chief People Officer from Boeing

McDonald’s Corporation has brought in a new global chief people officer about four months after the fast-food giant fired its CEO Steve Easterbrook for engaging in a workplace sexual relation. So reports HR Dive.

mcdonald 998495 640smallHeidi Capozzi had served as senior vice president of HR for The Boeing Company since 2016 before arriving at McDonald’s in mid-March. Capozzi’s predecessor at McDonald’s, David Fairhurst, resigned around the same time as Easterbrook’s firing in November. The company had said Fairhurst’s resignation was not related to Easterbrook’s firing.

Capozzi also joins McDonald’s as it deals with a lawsuit filed by two black senior executives at the start of this year alleging a continuous “pattern and practice of intentional race discrimination.” Both executives claim the work environment grew worse when Easterbrook became CEO in 2015.
