Pilot Program Targets Black Recruits for Investment Banking Giant

Investment banking giant Morgan Stanley has debuted a pilot program intended to increase the ranks of Black financial professionals for its Fixed Income & Business Resource Management Divisions. So reports Reuters.

Morgan Stanley2The Morgan Stanley Experienced Professional Program will seek out recruits with a minimum of two years full-time work experience in any industry and with an interest in working in finance. “As long as you have the skill set around communication, analytical abilities, interpersonal skills, and you are willing to work hard, you could have a strong career,” says Derek Melvin, a managing director who designed the program.

While the program is only open for up to 20 recruits, Melvin hopes it will succeed and will then be offered across the company’s institutional securities business.
