Ex-HR Manager: I Was Fired for Complaining About Lax COVID-19 Safety

A former human resources manager alleges in a lawsuit that her employer fired her last year after she complained about lax COVID-19 safety practices in the workplace and when she sought help on behalf of a worker who alleged she was sexually harassed. So reports My News LA.

coronavirus 4942077 640 smallTra’Shon Fant, who worked for tax debt relief firm American Tax Solutions, alleges in her Los Angeles Superior Court suit that she was fired after she repeatedly warned her managers that the company was not following CDC guidelines. She alleges that management instead yelled at her and stopped her from implementing safety measures.

Fant also noted in her suit that a women had complained about sexual harassment at work last August, and that Fant faced retaliation after she sought help from her managers about what to do. When Fant continued to urge management to take action about the harassment complaint, they fired her in September, the suit notes.
