Human Resource professionals are able to gauge how the modern workplace has evolved with more than 40 words that spotlight the employee experience. So reports Tech Target.

workplace 1245776 640 smallThe great resignation, quiet quitting, quiet firing, quick quitting, ghost jobs, hustle culture, quiet hiring, rage-applying, loud quitting, quiet ambition and workfluencer are among the 42 words that employees have exchanged on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter and TikTok to describe their workplace experience and hear feedback and stories from others.

Some of the buzz words describe relatively new practices, while others describe years-long practices that employees say are still a reality today. One buzz word, “quiet quitting”, takes sharp aim at another, “hustle culture,” which “encourages employees to work longer hours and get work done at a more rapid pace,” the publication notes.

“Quiet quitting has been termed as rejecting hustle culture with a better work-life balance by setting boundaries with work,” according to the article.
