Post-Vacation Blues? Make Lemons Into Lemonade

Labor Day may not technically be the end of summer, but for the workforce at large it means the official end of vacation season. Its back to school for the kids, fewer hours of daylight and the inevitable trudge toward winter. Many people suffer from post-vacation blues, which can be accompanied by actual symptoms of depression.

However, for most of us, it's a matter of reorienting ourselves to the "real world" and getting back into the swing of work and our daily routines. At the same time, there are ways to get back into reality while keeping some of that vacation mindset alive and well. For example, employees can start to think about planning the next trip or incorporating some of what they experienced over the summer during down time into their day-to-day lives.
