HR Tech Conference Features Predictive Analytics, 'Awesome Start-Ups'

The 17th annual HR Technology Conference ("HR Tech") was held recently in Las Vegas, with a record number of attendees, presenters, and HR and technology professionals from the U.S., Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. So reports HRE Online.

A keynote panel discussion on the importance of data and analytics in the workplace, based on new data released in ADP's Workplace Vitality Report, inspired a lively discussion on sustaining, reshaping and recreating the workforce of tomorrow. It was moderated by CNN senior political analyst and presidential advisor David Gergen.

Other highlights included the introduction this year of a start-up pavilion and "Awesome New Start-Ups for HR" session. The focus on technology start-ups and discussions about "predictive analytics" were clearly dominant themes at this year's forum.

In addition to presentations by newer companies like Salt Lake City-based software firm HireVue (whose CEO is just 30 years old), older stalwarts like IBM were also represented, with "Big Blue" featuring its Watson Analytics technology.
